Corrosion Detection

Corrosion and rust are naturally occurring problems that affect the efficiency of many different industries. We wanted to help businesses focus on prevention rather than having to deal with issues when material integrity has already been compromised.

Rust patterns can be highly variable in size, shape and color – we needed to train our model to be able to recognize a huge variety of possible presentations of corrosion.

Our devices can detect varying levels of corrosion in different environments and alert maintenance workers to potential issues.

We are working on extending the capabilities of this project to help it detect corrosion problems at an earlier and earlier stage.
